QUIZ TIME!!!!!!!!
"Those who envy others freedom will never know the chain is not attached". when i started this project i knew i wanted to make some sort of face on the moon. i started with making the cheese doodles the eyebrows and i put the eyes from the Lichtenstein drawing also on the moon. i then looked at the rest of the images and realized i could make the Mona Lisa as the face of the moon. once i did this i started thinking to myself "How can i possibly make this into a metaphor." i then started to add in the sand dunes and change the hue to make it seem like it was night time. i used the cloning tool on the clouds to make it seem more of a darker (scary) environment and to make the sky fuller. i started to think of why the mona lisa is sad. i added the tear to make it visibly distressed and added the chain to make it seem like it was being chained to the ground and could not be free. then thought why is the moon being chained down, and how can i use the such an innocent looking toddler, but most importantly the film strip. i decided to ward the film around the area of the eyes on the baby to make it seem like it was looking through the desert. i then used a filter on the baby to make it look dark and monster-demon like, and made the eyes a faded red. i then positioned it on the dunes to make it seem like there was someone watching the moon to make sure no-one takes it away from him. i also added a drop shadow there to make it seen like there was actually something popping out from the sand. i then added in the butterfly to symbolize the freedom that the moon is envying. it came time for the quote and i knew i wanted to make it something about the moon wanting freedom. i decided to make it seem like the moon has been staring at the butterfly so long, yearning for freedom, it never noticed that the chain had been detached, and thats where i got the quote from. unfortunately i wasn't sure how to use the guitar, so i decided to shrink it down to the bottom right corner and applied a stroke the same color of the sand to make it blend in.
